XIII-18. “Here is wisdom. Who has reason, let him reckon the number of the beast;           

as there is the  number of a man. And this is its number, six hundred sixty and six.”

 

The quintessence of the verse.

This verse is exceptional from a few reasons, first of all it is the most known from all verses of the Apocalypse of St. John, secondly it is translated as badly as it is known, thirdly it is a verse that indicates in an unequivocal way the search for the number connected with a man and fourthly  nowhere in its content there are any indications that will define it as the verse that is speaking about the beast.

 

The content of the verse.

The content contained in the verse is divided into two parts, the first part has an imperative  character and the second an indicative one.

 

The imperative content.

“Here is wisdom. Who has reason, let him reckon the number of the beast;          

as there is the  number of a man.”

 

The indicative content.

“And this is its number, six hundred sixty and six.”

 

The sentence “Who has reason, let him reckon the number of the beast;

as there is the  number of a man.” is the most important element of the verse, it carries the basic information that says that one should find in the number of the beast the number of a man that is hidden there. The structure of the sentence is arranged in such a way that will indicate as the most important this information that is written after the sign of the semicolon. In this sentence the number of the beast is a kind of a cipher that contains in itself the number of a man. What is necessary to read the cipher is a key. The key that after the “reckoning” in other words after adding will reveal to us the number of a man is the way in which the number of the beast is written.

 

However, the blindness of the interpreters has reached the zenith for two thousand years, the issue of the command to decipher the number of a man in the number of the beast was completely omitted. This age-long mistake in the interpretation, the omission of the command of God as the aspect of the existence of the number of a man on behalf of the interpretation (of a very attractive number of the beast) did a lot of evil for the proper transmission of the whole contents of the Apocalypse. Apart from the fact that the interpreter ought to use the principle of honesty there is still the sense and logic that are left.

The statement contained in the sentence is simple and unequivocal. There arises a question, why the information about the number of a man was so constantly omitted or maybe hidden?

 

“Here is wisdom. Who has reason, let him reckon the number of the beast;   

as there is the  number of a man. And this is its number, six hundred sixty and six.”

 

The phrase : “let him reckon” in Old Polish means : “let him add”. 
In the content there is written the  information which encourages the wise to use reason and to add the components of the figure in the number of the beast; The result of this calculation will be the number of a man. The proof of the existence of the number of a man  and of the need of its  recognition  is depicted in the word “as”. The reference in the form of this word in relation to the piece of information that had already been written which tells one to add the number of the beast is the  proof that the result will be the number of a man. Let us now reveal the secret of this verse and add the number of the beast, as it is written in a specific way, the form of this how it is written is   the key to decipher the number of a man. 

“six hundred sixty and six” 6 + 100 + 60 + 6 = 172

Six + hundred = a hundred and six + sixty = a hundred and sixty-six + six = a hundred and seventy-two.

 

We know the number of a man, 172, and what, and nothing, at first glance it says nothing. Maybe it could tell something if it was divided into parts in such a way that number 1 as the number that is specific is separated from 72 which is also a specific number. However, such an important  piece of indication  which is depicted in the contents of the verse is not realized by this action.

The number of a man must be a unique and universal number, its value should refer to all the people. It cannot indicate any chosen figure, and on the other hand, the features that it indicates are important for the life of a man on earth in the context of God's needs.

 

The number one defines the beginning in the order of things. Such a beginning for a man in the issue of life on earth is his birth.

 

Why the next number in this sequence is seven and the last number is two ?

 

After the birth a man begins his life, in front of him his way of life stands open. The whole horizon of events awaits his steps, if there is a horizon this means that he will have to go in the course of his life through the whole area that embraces the events in the circumference of the horizon. Here a specific thing manifests itself to us, a man is not standing in the middle of the horizon but on its periphery and  he is just to enter the way of life that is running through the horizon.

 

The horizon of life, by such a term we can characterize all the things on the way of life, not only of a man, although a man is the most important and from the standpoint of God's needs only He fulfills His needs. In this way referring to life, we can ascribe the horizon to each form of the animate matter. Further, such a horizon must have its own physical features and all the values that are necessary according to the kind.

 

The universal number of a man, indicated in the content of the verse is 172. How can the whole life of a man be defined by the number 172. This number is composed from three prime numbers. We have to define within nine numbers the significant geometrical aspects of the horizon of life. The order of the figures in the number of a man determines the action and indicates one as the number that defines the beginning of life and two - its end. Seven is in the middle and besides not only in he middle but also on the way of life.

 

What is the arrangement of the remaining numbers in the horizon?

 

Considering the fact which put one at the beginning of life and two at the end, then undoubtedly they are situated on the peripheries of the horizon of life. The space of the theatre of a man's life undoubtedly has its attributes placed in a properly arranged order. These figures may correspond to the crucial points in such a spatial order of the horizon of life. If there is a horizon there is also its plane on which the events will take place, thus a circle. There must run through such a circle a line as the way of a man. If it is a way from birth to death that is in agreement with God's needs it will be a straight line, from 1 as the place of the beginning of life to 2 on the opposite side of the circle. There are four points in symmetry on  the circle, two of them have already been described, there are some that are left. However the plane is not the fulfillment of the space of life, what is necessary for the fulfillment of the constructional space is the designation of the points that will define  the top and bottom.

 

There will be three planes in symmetry; the horizontal one which has been already partially described, the parallel one to the way of life and the perpendicular one. All of them form the spherical sphere and six points of symmetry on its surface, two of them have already beenindicated, there are four of them that still have to be indicated. If we connect with straight lines all the points of  symmetry on the surface of the spherical sphere we will get a few geometrical forms. There will be a square on each one of the three planes, those three squares altogether will form a regular octahedron. There will also be formed a point in the middle of the space which will be the result of the intersection of the diagonals. The diagonals themselves will create a form in the shape of a spatial cross with six arms. This whole set is situated in a spherical sphere, to this sphere number 9 should be assigned. Nine symbolises fullness, next eight stands for  the crystal which connects all the points on the sphere and it has a geometrical form of the octahedron. The following order should be ascribed to the remaining numbers.

The number seven will get the place in the middle and this follows from two reasons;  the order  - 9 the sphere, - 8 the crystal, -7 the cross. The second aspect of value is seven defined as the number of heaven, there is a place for it in the middle of the cross and it has to first of all be situated on the straight way of life of a man.

There are four numbers that are left : 3, 4, 5 and 6. The number three as the first that is unknown should be assigned to the point on the apex of the sphere, the cross and the crystal, it is the common point of all forms and the highest point of the horizon of life. Here is the place of contact of a man with the spiritual world. Next, the number four is the point situated on the opposite side of the point marked as number three. Four in the accepted descriptions corresponds to earth and this point is the lowest of all the points.

 

Five and six make a true dilemma, there are the points on the right hand of a man who is following a way of his life and on his left hand that still need to be described. The number five is identified with contact, and the contact in the course of life stands for different events.  Among them there will be the positive ones as well as the negative ones, this number should be assigned to the left hand. What is left for the right hand is number six and for it there is a point on the right side of the way of a man's life.

 

If a man in his life follows a straight way to God he will go through the middle of his horizon of life and its numerical symbol will be 172.

 

Viewing the whole of this subject; the matters of God, of a man and the hidden meaning of  the Apocalypse, one should give some thought to the question, what is so significant that this numerical symbol brings with itself ? The most probable indication from this verse is the sacred geometry. The aspect of a man's life which he himself is using, however he does not know much about the important characteristics of sacred geometry.
